Marek Benio and Marcin Kiełbasa had been appointed as experts within the scope of the Synergy project (SYNERGY – Spreading the best practices in the implementation of the EU-Law on the posting of workers). Already in May, we had the opportunity to listen to an international Conference with their participation. The aim of the project is to disseminate best practices in the implementation of the EU law on posted workers. The project focuses on 4 areas requiring specific educational activities.

1. Care for the elderly and disabled persons (live-in care) – it is mainly carried out by women from the Central and Eastern part of the EU. The number of the live-in carers will grow in line with the ageing of the population (especially in the most affluent countries of the EU).
2. The construction industry – it is characterized by a particularly high level of worker mobility. They are mainly men who are posted by their local employers.
3. Manufacturing industry – manufacturing companies also need foreign workers with different levels of qualifications. They also find them mainly in Eastern and Central Europe, from where they are posted to fill in those gaps.
4. Road transport – the essence of this industry is mobility. For road transport drivers crossing multiple countries, protection against unfair treatment is all the more necessary.

As part of the project, an employer’s guide was created explaining the eight steps to be followed when posting workers to another Member State of the EU. We invite you to listen in the link below in this regard.
