In relation to organization of an international project: ‘Free Movement of Workers and Social Security Coordination (FreSsco)’, on June 22, 2017 in Centre of Social Partnership “Dialog” in Warsaw, was held an international conference: “Problems and obstacles in free movement of workers and coordination of social security schemes. Posting. The principle of assimilation of facts, events, income and benefits.” The conference was supervised by the European Commission and coordinated and carried out by the University of Gent,
The event’s had two themeatical parts: the first one concerned issues related to the posting of workers and the second one – to equalizing facts, events, income and benefits.
As for the topic and participants, representatives of the European Commission, Polish authorities and institutions as well as Polish and European experts in the mentioned field took part in the event. The presentations were mainly focusing on the problems and obstacles which appear in the stage of application of regulations on the free movement of people in the EU and social systems coordination.
Moreover, among the participants, there were experts , such as Filip Van Overmeiren, FreSsco and Carlos Garcia de Cortazar from Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, academia: prof. Simone Roberts from University of Nottingham, judges, employers’ representation, trade unions, public administration, including Joanna Kaczanowska and Axel Specker – European Commission’s DG EMPL representatives and representation of institutions that preserve protection of people using their right to the free movement within the EU.
